NOTE - In the A1 list ** denotes a Breed Specialist. The other lists are subdivided into Breed Specialists and
non-breed specialists.
The Weimaraner Club of Scotland welcomes applications for inclusion from anyone who feels they have sufficient experience of the Weimaraner Breed to be included on the Club's Judges List. Applicants should forward their CV of experience and covering all points listed under the requirements for the relevant list together with evidence of an examination/assessment pass from the required seminars to the Club Secretary.
Inclusion is at the
discretion of the Club Committee by a majority vote in favour in secret ballot.
The depth of
knowledge and years of experience within the breed together with the following
points will be considered.
Requirements for
Consideration:-
A1: All persons who
have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award C.C.'s in the Breed
and have completed their first appointment and have the support of Weimaraner
Club of Scotland.
A2: All persons who
fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in
accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for
inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the Weimaraner Club of
Scotland.
A3 (Breed
Specialist): All persons who fulfil the following criteria. Have
a minimum of 7 years judging experience in Weimaraners. Have
judged the breed at 8 Open Shows (or Champ Shows without CCs) with an adequate
geographical spread. Have actually judged a total of
200 Weimaraners. Have attended a seminar conducted by
a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel
Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. Have attended
a seminar conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and
Movement. Have attended a Conformation and Movement
“Hands-on Assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed
the assessment. Have attended at least one breed
specific A3 seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of
Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment. Have
bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 Weimaraners when they obtained their 1st entry
in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances). Have stewarded over a minimum of 12 days at shows. Have the support of the Weimaraner Club of Scotland.
A3 (Non Specialist):
All persons who fulfil the following criteria. Have a
minimum of 7 years judging experience (including 5 years in Weimaraners). Have judged the breed at 8 Open Shows (or Champ Shows
without CCs) with an adequate geographical spread. Have
actually judged a total of 200 Weimaraners. Have
attended a seminar conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed
the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. Have attended a seminar conducted by a Kennel Club
Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement. Have
attended at least one breed specific A3 seminar run in accordance with the
relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or
assessment. Have awarded CCs in at least one other
breed. Have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of
any breed when they obtained their 1st entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save
in exceptional circumstances). Have stewarded over a
minimum of 12 days at shows. Have the support of the
Weimaraner Club of Scotland. Judges
already approved to award Challenge Certificates by the Kennel Club in other
breeds may not be required to fulfil these minimum requirements
B (Breed
Specialist): All persons who fulfil the following criteria. Have
5 years experience owning and exhibiting Weimaraners. Have judged at two Open
Shows or Champ Shows without CCs or at Limited Breed Shows with an adequate
geographical spread. Have
actually judged a minimum of 25 Weimaraners. Have
attended at least one breed specific A3 seminar run in accordance with the
relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed the examination and/or
assessment. Have the support of the
Weimaraner Club of Scotland.
B (Non Specialist):
All persons who fulfil the following criteria. Have 5
years judging experience in any one breed.
Have judged at two Open Shows or Champ Shows without CCs or at Limited
Breed Shows with an adequate geographical spread. Have actually judged a minimum of 25
Weimaraners. Have attended at least one breed specific
A3 seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best
Practice and passed the examination and/or assessment. Have
the support of the Weimaraner Club of Scotland.
C: All persons
aspiring to be judges who have: - shown an interest in Weimaraners; and have the
support of the Weimaraner Club of Scotland.
It should be noted
that these lists contain only the names of persons whom this Club would support
to judge the breed and is not necessarily the entire list of judges who have
been approved by other Societies to judge the breed.
List A1: -
indicates all persons who this Club would support, and who have been approved
by the Kennel Club and who have previously awarded Challenge Certificates in
the Breed;
List A2: -
indicates all persons who this Club would support, and who have been assessed
in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for
inclusion on an A2 list;
List A3: - indicates
all persons who this Club would support to award Challenge Certificates in the
Breed but are not yet approved by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 List;
List B: - indicates
all persons who this Club would support to judge the breed at Championship
Shows without Challenge Certificates or at Open Shows.
List C: - indicates
all persons who this club would support as aspirant judges of the Breed who do
not fall into any of the above categories.
